Jonah Cummings

Education and Partnerships Program Manager, Community Lead

Jonah Cummings serves as the Education and Partnerships Program Manager, Community Lead for the Central New York Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease Alliance, where he leads community education, outreach initiatives, and strategic partnerships that advance the Alliance’s mission of preventing Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. A graduate of Le Moyne College with a degree in Communications and a minor in Business Administration, Jonah combines expertise in public engagement, health communications, and curriculum development to deliver evidence-based education across Central New York.

Inspired by his own experience living with the long-term effects of Lyme disease, Jonah is passionate about helping individuals, families, schools, employers, and community organizations better understand tick-borne disease prevention, early symptom recognition, and the importance of timely medical care. Since joining the Alliance in 2020, he has served in multiple roles, playing an integral role in expanding the organization’s regional impact.

Jonah has developed educational curricula, led hundreds of community presentations, built partnerships with schools, camps, libraries, and community organizations, and represented the Alliance through television, radio, and digital media. He has also served as a patient panelist at the Alliance’s Lyme Summit, sharing his personal story to inspire greater awareness, advocacy, and action throughout the community.
