Elizabeth Balfour

Education & Partnerships Program Manager, Academic Lead

Elizabeth Balfour serves as the Education & Partnerships Program Manager, Academic Lead for the Central New York Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease Alliance, where she develops evidence-based educational programming and delivers community outreach initiatives focused on the prevention of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Drawing on more than a decade of experience as an educator, instructional specialist, and community health professional, Elizabeth combines expertise in curriculum development, public speaking, and community engagement to create meaningful learning experiences for audiences of all ages.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Elizabeth served as an instructional specialist and case manager, helping children, adults, and families navigate educational, health, and community support systems. Her background includes extensive work in health education, patient navigation, wellness promotion, and connecting individuals with community and government resources. A graduate of SUNY Cortland, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Adolescence Education, Elizabeth is passionate about translating complex public health information into practical, accessible guidance that empowers individuals and communities to protect their health.
