Melissa Carr Rowe

Executive Director, Central New York Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease Alliance

Melissa Carr Rowe is a strategic senior leader and lifelong
Central New Yorker with extensive experience building
mission-driven coalitions and cross-sector partnerships
spanning healthcare, education, and community based
organizations. She most recently served as Manager of
Quality and Accreditation at Oneida Health, where she led
organizational performance improvement initiatives,
supported alignment with regulatory standards, and worked
collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to
advance patient safety, outcomes, and organizational
effectiveness.


Throughout her career, Melissa has held senior leadership roles centered on coalition building, partnership development, and community-engaged initiatives within healthcare and higher education settings. Her work has focused on convening diverse constituencies, strengthening public-private partnerships, and advancing collaborative models that support awareness, prevention, advocacy, and systems level improvement. She brings a deep, and highly personal, appreciation for the power of education, advocacy, and survivorship in shaping more responsive and compassionate approaches to complex health challenges.


Melissa is a proud veteran of the United States Army and is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Education at SUNY Empire State University, having previously completed additional graduate training in public health, education, business and policy at SUNY Albany and LeMoyne College. As a lifelong resident of Central New York, she brings a deep commitment to the region and to strengthening partnerships that improve outcomes, elevate community voice, and support individuals and families across every stage of the health journey.
